Make sure you have all of the materials

Before you start on any projects, check your materials list and purchase everything you will need to complete your project.  You will have to do some research to find a good source to purchase the tools, and a good supply store to purchase your materials.  There really is nothing worse than being in the middle of a project, and then finding out your supply store is closed when you really need something to finish a crucial step in the project.

Find a good location

Whether you have some room in your garage or a detached workshop, you will need plenty of space to spread out the materials to build your own boat.  It should be a place where you can work, without having to tidy up the project every day.  Laying everything out in an organized fashion will help you to make progress.

Start and Finish the Project
